TINIUS OLSEN and Textile Testing Specialists SDL Atlas Join Forces
Tinius Olsen is very pleased to announce it has joined SDL Atlas in a technology and distribution alliance to supply textile based testing machine systems. Under this agreement, SDL Atlas has been assigned the exclusive distribution rights for Tinius Olsen’s highly respected testing machines to the global textile industry (woven and elastic fabrics, yarn, leather and carpets).
Martin Wheeler, International Sales Director of Tinius Olsen, said "This agreement brings together the very best in Tinius Olsen’s strength testing machine technology with the focused and specialist textile knowledge of SDL Atlas’ distribution." Wheeler continued "We see the Tinius Olsen machines well suited to SDL Atlas’ comprehensive catalogue and product offering and believe this move will have significant benefit for QA/QC managers and their teams looking to quantifying the strength and performance of woven fabrics, elastomers, leather, buttons, zippers and more. Together with SDL Atlas, as seen by our joint work at International standards including ASTM, ISO, EN and BS, we are committed to driving technology forward and making our customers testing capabilities simpler, more comprehensive and more affordable."
Presidents Robert Tait III of Tinius Olsen and Chuck Lane of SDL Atlas shake on what promises to be a great alliance for Olsen and SDL Atlas customers around the world.
