Answer

You don’t say whether you want to test for the American market or against International Standards. In general terms you will find all the colourfastness tests you need in the current BS EN ISO 105 series of colourfastness tests or in the current AATCC manual for methods of tests. Key tests you must test for are washing, water, perspiration, rubbing possibly light. All the other tests will depend on the final end of the fabric. All your needs to perform colourfastness testing can be obtained through SDL-Atlas (including standards). If you want a colourfastness training course I suggest you contact the Society of Dyers and Colourists in Bradford (UK)for BS EN ISO or the AATCC if want to test to American standards. Please note that most Retailers list the tests required against an end use specification and they may also have their own specific tests methods.
