Answer

Dear Sylvia,

I am currently doing a research about the variation of test results made by labs, specifically the colour fastness to water, to perspiration and rubbing test, the formaldehyde content, the PH and the determination of odour. I would like to have some information about the margin of error and the acuracy of the test results and the reason why they can be different.Which factor can affect the result?

Thank you for your help and information,

Helene

Hi Helene

I know there can be many reasons for variation in results when it comes to corrrelation. To answer your questions on tis site is not practical for me to do. Your best option is to talk to Textile Accreditation Service Providers; many of the Test Houses run them on behalf of the Textile Retailers. Or as they are colourfastness related you could contact the SDC or AATCC.

Best regards

Sylvia
